ClarkeModet reshuffles its management team as part of a new expansion plan

ClarkeModet Group has completed the first phase of an internal reorganization process to face growth in new international markets. The Spanish international group, currently present in 10 countries, plans to expand its presence in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the United States by 2022 and strengthen and diversify its legal and strategic consulting services in Intellectual Property.ClarkeModet reshuffles its management team as part of a new expansion plan

To achieve that plan, the group led by Luis De Torres has restructured its management, operations, and business development areas to undertake this plan. It has renewed the managers in four key areas: Nahanny Canal (Operations), Marc Blanxart (Business Development), Eusebio Yribarren (Digital Transformation), and Juan Carlos Garavito (Marketing).

«This internal reorganization is the first step of others upcoming in 2021 and 2022 to achieve our goal of becoming the leading international IP operator specializing in Europe and Latin America», explains De Torres, Global CEO of ClarkeModet. «Our organization is aligning itself with the new global market, where protecting intangible assets is increasingly important to ensure organizations’ growth and society’s progress through innovation.»

Chief Operational Officer: Nahanny Canal
Mexican Nahanny Canal will be responsible for the company’s operations. She will focus on achieving greater efficiency in the processes and services of intellectual property ownership management, legal and consulting services. Canal is a former Director of Patents at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property. Between 2015 and 2016, Canal was Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Her long career of more than 20 years in patents has led her to participate in international treaties negotiations and contribute to forums as WTO and WHO.

Canal is bachelor in Biological Pharmaceutical Chemistry by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Chief Business Officer: Marc Blanxart
The hiring of Marc Blanxart as Chief Business Officer responds to aiming to head the group’s revenue growth strategy, particularly in the new markets where ClarkeModet plans to land. Thus, Blanxart will lead all areas of national and international business generation. A former member of the Holcim Group’s Executive Committee and the boards of directors of several global corporations, Blanxart has more than 20 years of experience boosting sales networks for companies in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Blanxart is a bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management by Esade and MBA from Chicago Booth School of Business.

Chief Marketing Officer: Juan Carlos Garavito
Colombian Juan Carlos Garavito comes to the group’s Marketing Department after three years as head of the Colombian branch and the Andean Region at ClarkeModet. Former director of iNNpulsa, the Colombian government’s entrepreneurship and innovation agency, Garavito has more than 17 years of experience in strategy and management in communication, consulting, and pharmaceutical sectors, among others, both in Europe and Latin America. His objective is to promote the brand ClarkeModet in the global market, make international business development strategies and create new channels of communication with customers.

Garavito is a bachelor’s in Economy by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Global Executive MBA by IESE Business School. Additionally, he has a degree in Financial Strategy from Saïd Business School (University of Oxford).

 Chief Transformational Officer: Eusebio Yribarren
Eusebio Yribarren, until now corporate director of Information Technologies of ClarkeModet, takes on the role of Chief Transformation Officer and the leadership of its digital transformation. The executive will address incorporating technologies such as RPA and AI into the group’s business processes. Always linked to the world of technology, Yribarren has more than 20 years of experience in the ICT sector. Before joining ClarkeModet in 2016, he held various positions of responsibility in Atos and Sema Group, working for different clients such as Telefónica, Orange, Amadeus, or REE.

Eusebio Yribarren is Telecommunications Engineer by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and PDG of IESE Business School.
