In a campaign that lasted for barely 57 days in the Broota entrepreneurship platform, Consorcio Apicola collected the $90 million it was seeking to obtain as capital, via the crowdfunding system, with the goal of developing high market potential solutions for the global human and animal welfare industry, using products extracted from bee colonies.

The campaign attracted 83 new investors – among which the highest individually contributed sum was $15 million – thus becoming Broota’s sixth most successful campaign. The collected funds will allow for the creation of new businesses for apiarists and to add value to Chilean honey, by identifying its unique active ingredients for various high-value products as well as for the treatment of wounds, personal care or nutraceuticals, among others.
