Fernando Strubing Gomes has been appointed by Grupo Clarke, Modet & Cº as its Corporate Director of International Business Development for Asia and Europe. The arrival of Fernando will help strengthen the international standing of the largest Intellectual Property group in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries and spearhead its global growth strategy.
Prior to his appointment to the managerial role of the company, Fernando was a Regional Director of IPAN Group, one of the largest Munich-based software and intellectual property service providers in the world. In his capacity as the Regional Director, Fernando led the sales strategy in German speaking countries. Fernando has also held top-level positions in companies such as Aldi and Lidl and was the Managing Director of RCF, one of the largest IP firms in Portugal.
Increasingly greater challenges are awaiting companies today on the European and Asian markets, particularly in relation to intellectual property assets. At the same time, different regulatory changes and policies implemented over recent years have opened up many new protection possibilities. By joining Clarke, Modet & Co, Fernando will strengthen the business strategy of the group in these geographical areas, offering the most complete solutions for managing our clients’ industrial and intellectual property portfolios.
Fernando holds a Law Degree issued by Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and a post-graduate degree in Strategic Planning for Law firms. His professional career began with his appointment as a Consultant in Clarke, Modet & Cº Portugal. After gaining over 17 years of IP experience under his belt, Fernando is now once again a member of the leading company in this sector, lending his expertise in strengthening the company’s global standing.
Clarke, Modet & Cº International Business Development will thus be led by Fernando Gomes in Europe and Asia and by Angélica Pardavell, who was recently appointed as the Director of Business Development for the United States and Canada.
