The accession of Mexico to the 1999 Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement relating to the international registration of industrial designs and drawings will enter into force on June 6, 2020.
This accession, which was approved by the country’s Senate on September 7, will allow Mexican creators to manage the registration of designs in the countries of the Agreement by means of a single application in the WIPO, in a single language and subject to a single set of fees. The applicant of an international designs can also designate Mexico in their registrations.
From ClarkeModet Mexico we will inform our clients about the processes that must be followed to take advantage of this new regulatory framework.
