New .KIDS Domain Extension

As of the past August 11^th, 2022 and until the upcoming September 14^th, the holders of trademarks, shall have the possibility of registering it under the new extension.

This extension is intended for:

• People, organizations, and companies that wish to create entertaining and educational web content for children and youth
• Parents, educators, and caretakers who look after the well-being of children
• Charitable organizations and entities that benefit children and their families.

The guiding principles of .kids demand that the holders thereof refrain themselves from:

• Publish material that is illegal and inappropriate for children and teenagers, through a .kids domain, including:
  • Content with explicit sexuality, violence, substance abuse, obscenities, or other matters that would be normally considered inadequate
  • Content that promotes tobacco and alcohol consumption.

The final opening date to the general public will be on November 29^th, 2022.
