The Venezuelan Tax Authorities decided to increase the Tax Unit (TU) in 18,9%, therefore the Venezuela Patent & Trademark Office (VPTO), will increase the corresponding official fees for all related procedures to be filed before such governmental entity. Additionally, the Venezuelan currency was devaluated before the US dollar, finally resulting in a reduction in official fees in foreign currencies.
Be informed that by means of Official Gazette N° 40.106, dated February 06, 2013, the Venezuelan Tax Authorities decided to increase the Tax Unit (TU) in 18,9%, therefore the Venezuela Patent & Trademark Office (VPTO), will increase the corresponding official fees for all related procedures to be filed before such governmental entity. Additionally, the Venezuelan Government announced the devaluation of the bolivar before the US dollar in 46,5% starting on February 13, 2013. Due to this, the official fees in US dollars and Euros reflect a reduction of approximately 20% in both currencies.
