• Lloyd’s Register certifies the Information Security Management System of the Group, the ten companies of which operate in teleworking mode during the health alert due to COVID-19.
ClarkeModet has obtained the certification of its Information Security Management System under international standard ISO/IEC 27001. This certificate attests that the company has a system for effectively preventing and managing cybersecurity threats and risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information.
The certificate has been granted by the independent certification entity Lloyd’s Register to the ClarkeModet office in Madrid, in which the cybersecurity systems of the entire group of companies in ten countries of Europe and Latin America are centralized.
This certification comes at a key moment for ClarkeModet, the subsidiaries of which are operating in a teleworking mode during the health alert due to COVID-19. The safety measures adopted by the Group has allowed the majority of the teams in Europe and Latin America, with more than 500 employees, to operate remotely with the highest cybersecurity guarantees against the increase of cyberattacks and phishing occurring at a global scale.
As explained by Eusebio Yribarren, our corporate director of Information Technologies, “due to the nature of our activity, we manage confidential and sensitive information related to Intellectual Property of the clients. Due to this, cybersecurity has always been a priority for us and we work with systems and procedures which guarantee the protection against cyberattacks, increasingly more frequent and sophisticated, in addition to preventing any security breach in the company”.
Furthermore, “being certified in cybersecurity is essential for companies in the legal field, since it allows us to corroborate that we comply with fundamental aspects for the security of confidential information; for example, that the access to certain data is limited to determined persons, as well as that the information is treated in a manner that ensures its integrity and its availability at the time that it is necessary”.
The latest report of the International Standards Organization (ISO), corresponding to 2018, indicates that Spain is the seventh country in the world in centers certified in Information Security.
