Isabel Gómez-Acebo

Group Chief Legal Officer
She started her professional career at a prestigious conventional law firm in Madrid in the areas of commercial and corporate law and then worked at a firm specialising in IP in New York, US. Upon her return in 1994, she joined ClarkeModet where she continued with her career with various responsibilities and in different company departments, including: the creation of the marketing and international promotion area; organisation and review of the company\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s legal matters (review of powers of attorney, contracts, agreements and alliances with third parties); control of subsidiaries (implementation of monthly economic and trade reports, statutory audits); purchase of companies or creation of subsidiaries (Colombia, Chile, Peru and Uruguay); corporate restructuring (purchase of minority interests in subsidiaries and establishment of new interests); support in audits; monitoring of litigation; new projects; etc. Since 1998 she has been the Deputy Director General of Spain and of the Group and head of internal legal department, and has been the Corporate Chief Legal & Compliance Officer since 2016.

Law degree from Complutense University of Madrid Lawyer by the Bar Association of Madrid Master’s degree in Spanish Private Law by CEU San Pablo University of Madrid LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham University, New York, US
