Since June 2, 2020, most of the Intellectual Property Offices of the countries in which ClarkeModet operates have returned to their usual activity, resuming the counting of administrative periods which were temporarily suspended with the situation caused by COVID-19.

Thus, in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Andorra, Spain and Portugal the counting of periods has already started again. Additionally, in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) the administrative periods have started again.

Currently, and from this group of countries, only Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela maintain the periods suspended, although the online service is active in all of them, with some restrictions in the case of Venezuela.

From ClarkeModet, we continue to carry out a comprehensive and detailed monitoring of the situation of the assets of our clients in all the Intellectual Property Offices worldwide. We would also like to remind you that our 22 offices in Europe and Latin America continue to operate in a completely normal manner in the teleworking mode from the start of the worldwide health alert. For any other doubt, do not hesitate to contact us through the usual channels.
